AAAE Elects Leaders for 2023-2024 at 95th Annual Conference & Exposition in Denver (2024)

Alexandria, Va. — Perry Miller, A.A.E., I.A.P., President & Chief Executive Officer, Richmond International Airport, took office Monday, June 5, as Chair of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) for 2023-24. Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing individuals who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports. Other key appointments to the Association’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Policy Review Council were also finalized during the 95th Annual AAAE Conference & Exposition in Denver, held June 3-5 and hosted by Denver International Airport.

“AAAE is incredibly fortunate to have such an outstanding slate of airport professionals from across the country who are willing to give of their time and talent to help guide our association forward,” AAAE President and CEO Todd Hauptli said. “They are leaders in every sense of the word, and the recognition they have earned from their peers is a testament to the commitment they have shown to AAAE and the airport profession.”

Miller was one of six Executive Committee members elected by AAAE membership. He succeeds Mark Gale, A.A.E., Chief Executive Officer & Director of Aviation, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, who becomes First Past Chair. The Second Past Chair is Larry Krauter, A.A.E., AICP, Chief Executive Officer, Spokane International Airport. Other Executive Committee members elected by AAAE membership are First Vice Chair Rick Crider, A.A.E., Executive Vice President, Airport/Railport & Military Relations, Port San Antonio; Second Vice Chair Rebecca Hupp, A.A.E., Airport Director, Boise Airport; and Secretary/Treasurer Marshall Stevens, A.A.E., Deputy Executive Director, Harrisburg International Airport.
