Hello, everyone it's jonathan here, founder of dragon academy.

And in today's video, we're going to be talking about exactly why you should go for cdo class b versus cdo class, a license.

Now before we get in any more in detail with this let's first explain the foundations of you have to understand what is the actual difference between a cdo class, a and a cdl class b.

So a cdo class, a means you get to drive the big tractor trailers.

It also means you get to drive stuff like this, small trucks box trucks dump trucks and garbage trucks.

But you cannot drive buses.

So that's, why there's a big x over that bus right there? Now, what can you drive? If you have a cdo class b, cdo class b, means you get to drive all the small trucks like the box trucks dump trucks cement trucks and garbage trucks.

And you can also drive a bus, but you cannot drive a tractor trailer and that's why the x is over there.

So that being said now that you have some information, let me give you really only two reasons why you would prefer getting a cdo class b versus getting a cdo class.

A so reason number one is your main goal in order to get a cdo license is to actually transport passengers, which means you want to drive a bus.

And that is your dream that is your goal, that's.

What you want to do and only that in that case, there's, no reason to go for the ceo class, a because we can help you find work and driving a bus for the rest of your life and you'll be happy to do.

So because you get to interact with people.

Now, the only other reason to get a cdo class b versus cdo class.

A is going to be say that you're super scared about driving those big tractor trailers and you're, putting your foot down you're saying, john, there, ain't, no way that you're getting inside of a truck.

I do not want to drive the big trucks.

I only want to drive the small trucks and the buses.

And if you're dead set on that and your mindset's, there I'm, not going to be one to change your mind I'm, just here to kind of guide you in the right direction.

So if you have one of those two reasons or maybe both of those reasons then a class b is the best option for you.

Now, if you're anybody else in the world who's looking to get a cdo license, I definitely recommend going for a studio class a now let me explain some people have this idea of if I go for the cd class b, it should be cheaper, and it should be easier to get my license because it's a simpler, a simpler truck, right? Well, that is where you're wrong.

Yes, it could be a little bit cheaper, we're talking about a couple hundred dollars in difference.

And when it comes to the test itself and the process it's the exact same process as if you were going for a cdl class, a so there's two-step process, whether you're gonna go for a class, a or a class b, both of them first have to pass a few different written exams to get yourself a cdl permit.

Second step is you're gonna have to pass a two and a half hour long road test to get your actual license.

The road test itself is completely the same thing.

Yes.

The road test on the class, a could be a little bit more difficult than a road test on a class b, just based on the vehicle itself, but it's going to be split into three main parts, which is the pre-trip inspection parking on the six different ways to park and actually just driving on the road, which is the third and final part of the test itself.

So that being said, if you're in the balance between, hey, I just want an easy way out.

And I want the cheapest way out.

So I want to go for the class b, it's, really going to bite you in the butt moving forward because say you start off with a class b.

And sometimes in the future, maybe a year two years, five years down the road.

You see an amazing opportunity for you with the cdo license, but you required to get a cdo class, a unfortunately, you're going to have to go through the whole process all over again.

Now, taking a two and a half hour long road test is not fun.

The first time it's, definitely not fun.

The second time around after you could have just banged it out all at once.

So like I said, unless you want to drive buses and that's, the only thing you want to do or you're, super super scared and there's something else holding you back from driving those big tractor trailers.

Then I definitely recommend going for the class b other than that.

I definitely highly recommend going for the class a when it comes to people who are super scared, but they are still willing to try the class.

A is definitely a good way to go, because one is going to make you a better driver overall and two here at draven academy, we are the best driving school around and that's.

Why we're so good, we can actually show how our guaranteed training programs work.

Our guaranteed training programs are pretty simple we're going to give you over 100 hours of training and it's going to come with unlimited tries at the test.

So for whatever reason in those hundred hours, you are going to be comfortable behind that vehicle that's.

What we do with the best of what we do and you're going to go for the road test.

And if you fail that test, because you make a simple mistake, or maybe you've really messed up, no big deal.

You don't have to pay anything extra or keep taking for the another test until you pass and no work should cost to you.

So when it comes to really the fear that's, not even really an option anymore, because most of our students have never even been inside a truck before they actually enroll with our school here at driving academy.

So if you are interested in learning more about exactly how our training programs work, give us a call 908 525-3609 or check out the virtual school tour at cdo, driving academy dot com forward, slash tour, again, that's cdl, driving academy dot com forward, slash tour.
