About Madurai Butter Bun Recipe
Madurai Butter Bun Recipe is made with sweet buns sliced in half, spread with butter sugar and milk and cooked. The bun gets soft inside and crispy on outside.
Thanks to dear hubby who introduced me to this recipe. He came across this recipe in facebook and showed it to me. I was so interested in this recipe that i tried it immediately. I am telling you, this recipe is truly delicious. But it is loaded with butter so it is not good to have it often. You can make this for kids often because they will love it for sure.

Try to use sweet bun in this recipe. It gives very nice taste to it. Use fresh soft buns, but a little old bun is also good, in that case you have to use more milk to soak the buns.
I made butter bun which you can get in bakery. So i used that bun which is almost fried doughnuts for this recipe and it was so delicious.

How to Make Madurai Special Butter Bun at Home
Pre-preparation
Slit bun, spread butter on both side, sprinkle with sugar and spoon over some milk on both side. Cover it up.
Cooking Butter Bun
Melt butter in a pan, place the buns and place some more butter on top. Use a spatula to flatten the bun. Cook till golden on both sides, keep flattening it. Cut it and serve.

Ingredients
- 4 Sweet Bun
- 4 tbsp Butter (preferably white butter)
- 6 tbsp Sugar or as needed
- 6 tbsp Milk or as needed

Madurai Special Butter Bun Recipe Step by Step Pictures
1)Take all your ingredients

2)I used my homemade buns

2)Slit it open, but dont open it completely

3)Apply butter on both sides.

4)Spread it evenly

5)Sprinkle sugar on both sides. You can add as much or as little as possible

10)Heat some butter in a pan
